Since we have been inside so much lately, we decided to go to Hot Springs on the spur of the moment Saturday. It was overcast and looking like rain, but hey why not. We headed to the alligator farm or zoo. I am not sure what the actual place is called. We have taken the kids there one time before. It is actually frightening to me to think that my children are so close to alligators! So I preach and preach about not sicking our fingers through the fence etc. In this picture, Lily is telling Nick to get off of the fence and not to touch it!
Here are some of the baby alligators.
They also have a little petting zoo. Emma and Lily really enjoyed feeding the baby goats and the sheep. A few of the larger ones were pretty aggressive and Win decided that he would rather watch from outside of the fence.
The babies were so cute.
Emma said that they were about to eat her shirt and that next time she was going to wear a dress! She is too funny and comes up with all sorts of ideas. All and all it was a nice day. We went to the bookstore and also ate down on the lake at Fisherman's Wharf. We always enjoy eating there with the kids, but yesterday the wind was kind of cool for the outside dining. We finished off the evening at Scoops eating ice cream. Hopefully we can have more sunshine so we can get out and about!
