Time Flys......

We took our vacation at the beginning of the summer. Boy am I glad that we did with this HOT HTO weather. I can't imagine doing much outside with these temperatures!!!! I haven't taken many photos lately other than ones of the kids wearing clothes from the store. I know I must do better. I am ready for school to start and for our family to find a routine of things! The time has flown by this summer. With summer camps and vacation bible school, Way Out Wednesdays and just lazy lake days..........WHERE DID SUMMER GO?? The kids are really enjoying different activities this summer. They have been to the alligator farm, to dig for crystals, they have been down town Little Rock to the Cox center and looked at the Old State house. They have traveled to a Heifer ranch and not to mention gone to summer camp. We are lucky to have kids that live around us and we have played with our friends. But my favorite times are the times we are all relaxing at the lake. Nothing else seems to matter. The kids love to pull onto islands and explore. I just dip in the water and relax and it usually always ends with Emma on the tube. She loves to tube. Our last lake trip got cut short with some lightening and Emma was crying because she wanted to tube. What a summer it has been. I am going to try to do better on my posts this year.

SEA World Adventure........

Here are some pictures from our Sea World Adventure..........several weeks ago! Emma loved to ride the rides and was tall enough to ride all but two. She and Nick were riding this ride, while Win and Lily were having a fun all of their own.

We had so much fun feeding the dolphins. Lily was excited because she actually touched it. They were kind of hard to touch.

Aunt Annabeth lives in Austin so she and a friend drove down and met us on our first day there. I am so glad that they did because that is the day we did most of the water park. It wasn't open the other days so our plan worked out great!

Here is another character. I think Emma was off riding one of the big roller coasters! Notice the huge killer whales. We have a couple of those! The shows were amazing!

We also fed the sea lions! The had lots of fun, we also took a little tour at the sea lion area and learned more about them.

On our last evening we ventured down to the River Walk and went to the Alamo. This guy is from our safari tour! It was a lot of fun! I really had to watch out when taking pictures! A few of the guys wanted in the car!!!

OK, this one was the funniest! He like ran behind the car and followed us and pecked the window a few times. The kids were screaming! I was laughing, it was a great part of our trip.

We had a blast! I enjoyed taking the kids somewhere other than the beach. I hope we do more vacations like this one. The kids really enjoyed it and all in all it was pretty smooth!

Petting Zoo.......

I am having some problems with my internet connection, so I am just downloading this picture from our vacation, but it pretty much sums up the petting zoo portion of the Wildlife Safari! Lily had the best time and the GOATS enjoyed her dress!

Recital Time

We have been so busy that I haven't posted a lot on this blog. Well..........I could not help but post this picture! She loved the recital more than she loved class! SOOOO Excited. She was a little ham and did a great job! I will say I think by the way her hips were moving, perhaps next year we will do hip hop instead of ballet! LOVE YA LILYBELLE!!!!

Family Farm

Win and Emma had a field trip this week to Family Farm. They went to camp there last summer and really enjoyed it. If you live in the area, it is a great place to send your kids. Nick and I both went so that each kid would have a parent. At family farm you need several parent volunteers. I think Nick and I both helped with the paddle boats and Nick helped with the zipline. They have swings and ziplines, they have a creek with a sandy bed and horse shoes, a tractor that pulls the kids like a train, a petting zoo, a pond with paddles boats and canoes....They had a great time. Notice Emma's hair feather. This is the new thing that we had to have. Also notice that she has no glasses. They were donated to the Family Farm pond! They were broken and we are awaiting a new pair, but they did go down! I am just glad the paddle boat did not!

Emma loves animals. Family farm is fun! Check it out.

Easter

We went to Hope for Easter weekend. Everyone enjoyed our weekend. All the kids dyed Easter Eggs after we went to church. We kind of went at things a bit different this year, but we enjoyed it all the same.

The Hunt is ON!

This year our church Easter Egg hunt and neighborhood hunt fell at the same time. So, we decided to go to the neighborhood hunt. I had to go to the boutique and wait on a worker so Nick took Emma and Lily. Win was in Dallas having a blast with Cousin Drake. The girls had a great time at the hunt and loved all of the animals of course. It was a nice morning for the activities.
