First Day of Kindergarten

First Day of Kindergarten at Springhill Elementary, Bryant, AREmma was so excited. Here she is with her teacher Mrs. McDaniel. They had Play-doh out this morning while everyone was arriving and thank goodness Emma's was pink. I think that she will have a blast with Mrs. McDaniel. I think that they will have a great year!
Here we are this morning. This was about the best picture that I could get not to make everyone upset. As I drove down our street on the way to school, I saw two of the families on our street out in front of their house taking pictures.........mine just would not have gone for that this morning. Perhaps next year.

Emma is sitting by Hayden Walsh and Hayden Upton. We know both of these little boys! I am in trouble with her!!!!

Here is Win with his teacher Mrs. Patton. Of course he was being shy this morning. I hope that he will eventually warm up to everyone.

I think that they are a good match.

Lily was having a grand ole time after we dropped Win and Emma off in their classrooms. They had donuts and drinks for the Kindergarten parents in the Library.

Swimming-N-Riding

On Friday night we went to a birthday party. It was a swimming party with horse rides too! The kids all enjoyed riding the horse. All the kids paired up and waited their turn. Lily enjoyed the horse. She has always enjoyed animals.Of course Win and Emma rode together. Emma was so funny. She asked how to steer this thing! It was all that I could do to talk her out of bringing her pink cowgirl hat.
We also swam. It was hot and the kids loved the water. This is one of my favorite pictures of Lily. I just love how you can see the water rolling off of her nose.

For the most part the last few weeks have been just running arrands and staying at home. We are trying to get into a routine of things before school starts. On Friday afternoon, we also found out who Win and Emma's kindergarten teachers were going to be this fall. I am excited and I think that they will be in another week or so. I can tell that they are getting bored and want more interaction. Emma will have Mrs. McDaniel. I don't know her she has only been teaching at the elementary school for a few years. Win will have Mrs. Patton. I have heard wonderful things about her. I chose to separate them and I am sure that it will be different for them. Win and Emma have always gone to the same Mother's Day out classroom, preschool, Sunday school etc. They have played soccer on the same team and even gymnastics. I think that it will be a welcomed break for the both of them. I guess only time will tell.

I hear mothers saying that they will be crying and upset on the first day of school. I am excited. I think that it will be great for my children and I know that they are ready!!! I am ready for them to move on and learn and experience new things! I will post after the 19th. Who knows I might be one of those sitting there crying too, but I seriously doubt it!
